FAQ

Common questions, answered clearly

Clear answers about the monthly review, privacy, debt tracking, family workspaces and pricing.

What do I actually need to enter?

Start with the totals that shape your month: income, regular bills and subscriptions, flexible spending pots, and any debt you want to track. You do not need to enter every purchase or copy your entire bank statement.

Will I have to type everything again next month?

No. The app remembers your named items and amounts. When you return, the monthly helper shows where you left off and asks you to confirm what changed.

Does That Budget App connect to my bank account?

No. The app does not ask for your bank login or connect to a bank feed. You stay in control of the information you choose to add.

Can it help me prepare for annual bills?

Yes. Add an annual or occasional cost, record when it was last paid, and keep the next expected date visible. You can also turn it into a saving plan without changing the current Monthly Plan total.

How does debt tracking work?

Add the current or original balance, the payments remaining and an optional start date. If automatic tracking is enabled, the app estimates the reducing balance, progress percentage and final payment date for you.

Can I share a plan with my family?

Yes. A family workspace uses the same simple Monthly Plan, Budget, Stats and Notes structure so household members can work from the same figures.

How much does it cost?

Every feature is free for the first 90 days and no card is required to start. After the trial, the app costs £14.99 per year. There is no monthly plan and there are no adverts.

Is my data private?

The service uses secure hosted infrastructure, but its central privacy decision is simpler: no bank credentials are requested and no advertising profile is built from your financial information.
